The Surfing Capital - San Juan

One of the best thing about ELYU is Surfing - so YES, you don't have to fly to Siargao to experience the beauty of surfing! For those people who loves adventure then this is your sign!

San Juan is known as the Surfing Caputal of the North because of its consistent waves and surf-friendly coastlines actually if you are going to visit San Juan you can see a lot of foreign nationals roaming around in the entire San Juan! So yes , if you are looking for an AFAM - you might find the right one at San Juan!

You can learn surfing by availing some lessons given by locals so you can choose to rent a surfing board or to have a 1 on1 session with a skilled local surfing instructors. Don't worry about the rates because its affordable!

Art in Urbiztondo

There is also some art in ELYU. The vibrant paintings adorning the streets reflect the narrative of the town's rich culture and history. If you love art then you will enjoy appreciating its beauty.

Sunset

If you are an oopacarophile then its perfect for you , you can have the Sunset at San Juan shoreline like on Kabsat one of the famous restaurant at San Juan or you can also check Ma-Cho Temple. It is located at a top of a hill so it really offers a panoramic views of the West Philippine Sea and the town of ELYU.

Sunset is the start of something beautiful at night!

A local favorite dessert is a simple halo halo from Halo Halo de Iloko. If you are not a Filipino , this is a cold dessert its is made up of mixed ingredients like ube,sago , beans , coocnut and then mixed it with crushed ice with coconut milk. You have to try it and you we will be overwhelm with its delighful taste.
